You do realize that those of us here from the team--not just myself, but Leonard when he returns, and Dr. Palmer--we have lived through the time when Mick was Chronos already. We know how to stop him, how to help him. But putting yourself in harm's way just to prove a point will only cause you and others to get hurt, if not worse.
You've accused me of not caring at least a half-dozen times during the course of this conversation alone--but what you're suggesting would be a far more selfish action.
But he is not the only friend I have here, nor the only person I wish to protect. If I am forced to choose between his life or the lives of everyone else, then I will do what I have to.
[In truth though, Rip could tear down Maya's argument in two words--yet he chooses not to. It's not a burden that should be placed on a child, even in hypothetical terms.]
He has a rat. Mick, I mean. He got it after that whole affair on the space station.

mick won't hurt me. no matter what.
[It's almost like she's believing in someone. Riley would be proud.]
Re: text
And more to the point? Neither would Mick. If you are wrong in your assumption, and he does hurt you, if he kills you--
How do you expect him to live with that if we get him back?

so it's a good thing that he won't.

When you say "stop" him
You guys are gonna kill him aren't you?

isn't he your friend?
you're supposed to look out for them. ALL of them.

[Of all of it.]

So maybe we're just not gonna agree on this one.
[Lenny would want someone to take care of Mick. He needs to be watched sometimes.]

Axel
He's really cool.
Re: text
Axel is going to need a caretaker while Mick is gone.
[And this would be Rip's official "not it."]

Not like Rip would.]
